Marvel was Originally known as the Docklands Stadium, its construction began in 1996 and was completed in 2000, just in time for the new millennium. The stadium quickly became a landmark due to its innovative retractable roof and seating capacity of over 53,000 spectators.

Since its Beginning, Marvel Stadium has hosted many diverse events, ranging from Australian rules football (AFL)  matches to international cricket games and major concerts. It has been the home ground for five AFL teams, including the Essendon Bombers and the North Melbourne Kangaroos,Saint Kilda Saints, Carlton blues, and the Western Bulldogs offering a vibrant atmosphere for fans and players alike.
